In ancient Greece hospitality was considered an act of virtue. The acceptance of a foreign hosting was called "estian" or "xenizein" or "xenodochein".
- ROOM BEDROOM
Architectural re-interpretation of "xenodochein"; creating a protective shell for the modern traveler’s relaxing, contrary to the roughness of the urban landscape and experience.
The design of the two levels co-structure the hotel room, attempting to form a hospitable environment.
Level A: ± 0.00 = organization space
Level B: = +0.60 shell – dream space.
Plants, water, wood. The room design is aimed to qualify a mental and physical rest for the traveler, acting parenthetically in the urban experience.
The design tries to serve the needs of direct communication with the integration of modern systems, so that the shell can be adapted to today's reality.
